Hello,
Does lightning chart have support for using offline mapping datasets? My current application is ESRI which uses *.tpk files and im trying to get a feel for if I could jump over to lightningchart for the performance gains and still be able to support features my customers are used too. I would also be interested if there is any support for kml files?
Regards,
Aaron

Re: Offline maps
Hi,
ESRI SHP files can be imported as .md files with LightningChart. For other format LightningChart does not have support. So, I think you should be able to convert other map formats to SHP with external tools first, and then import them as .md.
See User's manual, chapter "Importing maps from ESRI shape file data"

Re: Offline maps
Thanks for the response I am mostly interested in if I could download maps and users could use those for mapping in areas where they do not have internet activity.

Re: Offline maps
Vector maps in shp / .md format, yes.
On-line tilelayer data (HERE maps), no. Here doesn't let storing the tile bitmaps and load them afterwards, only short-term caching is allowed.
