Coordinate Systems

Post by Leodox » Sat Apr 16, 2016 6:25 am

It would be great if the charts supported other coordinate systems such as cylindrical and spherical. I know we can convert to Cartesian coordinates before plotting, but some data is better visualized and understood in the appropriate coordinate system. For example, if the ViewPolar had a Height value in addition to Amplitude and Angle, then you would have a Cylindrical system. A NormalAngle value could be added to create a Spherical system. It seems like these systems could be extensions of the ViewPolar to support 3D graphs, for a new view -- ViewPolar3D. These features would be amazing and very useful!

Thanks for your idea, sounds pretty extraordinary though :) We'll keep this in mind if others request similar feature.

Hello,

Cylindrical and Spherical coordinate systems though a converter classes, were added in v.8.4.
