Does LightningChart connect to the internet?

Post by snOOfy » Wed Jul 12, 2017 7:40 am

Hi, our customer has reported an obscure bug where the application crashes immediately when it is started without the computer being connected to a network. The error signature contains a reference to LightningChart, therefore we suspect a problem with LightningChart trying to connect somewhere:

No other part of the application uses a network connection. It is essential that the application can run without being connected to the internet. Do you have any idea what might be going on there?

Hello,

when activating a developer license to a machine, it takes internet connection to our server. If using a floating license, it takes connection to our server. In the runtime, the deployed app doesn't take internet connection.

It also opens internet connection when using tile data for Maps.

Otherwise, it doesn't take internet connection.
